Verelyn exists to read the world for you, not to read you for anyone else. This page says what we hold and why, without the fog.
What we hold
Your email address (it is where your briefs land), your interview answers in your own words (they are your mandate, what Hayes watches for you), your source and timezone choices, and the record of what we sent you and what you clicked as feedback. Payment runs entirely on Stripe; we never see or store your card.
How we measure the journey
The landing and the app send small first-party funnel events to Verelyn. We use PostHog as the sole analytics processor to understand where a journey begins, where it stops, and whether the product works. The landing events contain a random journey identifier and, when present in the address, campaign labels such as source or campaign. We do not use these events to identify your employer or build an advertising profile.
The marketing pages (the landing, about, contact, this page and the terms) additionally run Google Analytics and Apollo. Apollo is the one worth naming plainly: it does not count visits, it tries to identify the company a visitor comes from, and for visitors in the United States the person. It does that from the network address the browser arrives with. We turned it on to find out whether anyone reaching the site is a real prospect rather than an automated scanner, and it applies to the marketing pages only, never to your account, your mandate, or your briefs. A browser that blocks trackers stops both, and nothing on the marketing pages needs them to work.
How we watch the product being used
On the onboarding and on your account pages, we record the session: the screens you see, where you click, and how you scroll, so we can watch how the product is actually used and fix what gets in the way. PostHog processes these recordings. Everything you type into a field is masked in your browser before anything is sent, and so is the place where a typed name or address is shown back to you. What the product writes on screen is part of the recording, including the mandate we draft from your answers and the option you pick on a question. Recordings are kept for 30 days. Nothing is recorded on the landing or the other public pages.
When something breaks, Sentry, our error-monitoring processor, receives the error and the page it happened on, from your browser and from our servers.
What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not share your mandate. It is the most personal thing you give us and it is used for exactly one thing: writing your briefs. We do not send you email beyond your editions, receipts, and at most one reminder if you leave the interview unfinished.

Unsubscribe is one click and honored immediately. Cancelling your subscription is one button in your account page. If you want your data deleted, one email to getverelyn@gmail.com and it is done. no forms, no questions. Joan reads every reply personally.
