Verelyn for OpenClaw

OpenClaw documents a route for adding a remote server. Verelyn has not tested it, and Verelyn is not listed in an OpenClaw catalog.

Give an always-on agent a reading source it can check, and keep the key out of the chat.

Give this to your assistant
Read Verelyn's setup guide and tell me which route applies to this client: https://verelyn.com/llms.txt
MCP endpoint: https://verelyn.com/api/mcp
An assistant must not invent priorities, complete payment, or activate the service. The person gives explicit approval in the browser.

You approve the sign-in and permissions yourself, in the browser. An assistant never pays or activates Verelyn for you.

A source your agent can stand behind.

OpenClaw runs on a server, so it connects with a personal key you make yourself instead of a browser sign-in. The agent then reads what Verelyn already checked.

  • A key you controlYou create the key in your account, choose its permission, and can revoke it whenever you like.
  • Answers with a paper trailUpdates carry their sources, so your agent can pass along where a claim came from.
  • Quiet until askedVerelyn sends nothing into OpenClaw by itself. The agent asks, and Verelyn answers from stored updates.

How OpenClaw documents adding a remote server.

  1. Create a personal keyAfter you finish the interview, open Connections in your account and create a personal assistant key. It is shown once; keep it out of the chat.
  2. Put it in the environmentSet the key as VERELYN_MCP_KEY in the environment of the process that runs the OpenClaw Gateway.
  3. Register the serverRun the documented streamable-HTTP command, which sends the key as a bearer header:
openclaw mcp set verelyn '{"url":"https://verelyn.com/api/mcp","transport":"streamable-http","headers":{"Authorization":"Bearer ${VERELYN_MCP_KEY}"}}'
  4. Probe itOpenClaw documents a doctor command that checks a registered server:
    openclaw mcp doctor verelyn --probe
  • OpenClaw's docs say a minimal tool profile or policy can hide or block MCP tools.
  • OpenClaw's docs do not state plan or market conditions.

What OpenClaw hands back.

A compact sourced update your agent can quote or file, with the original publishers named.

Example

A shipping line suspended a route through a canal after a safety notice.

The line's customer advisory says services resume once inspections end. A port authority bulletin gives a later date.

Why it matters to you

You follow logistics for electronics importers. A later date lengthens your lead times for the month.

  • Carrier advisory official, gives resumption terms
  • Port authority bulletin gives a later date

Questions about Verelyn for OpenClaw.

Why a key and not a browser sign-in?

A server-hosted agent has no browser to approve in, so Verelyn issues a personal key you create and can revoke.

Where should the key live?

In the Gateway's environment, never in a chat message or a config file you commit.

What if OpenClaw cannot see the tools?

OpenClaw documents tool profiles and policies that can hide MCP tools. Check yours first.

Does OpenClaw receive daily briefings?

No. They arrive by email. OpenClaw reads updates only when the agent asks.
