Give your AI assistant a news feed with sources you can check

What is new: This guide separates source comparison from checking an individual claim and explains what to ask before trusting a feed.

Short answer

For a reliable, verified news feed in your AI assistant, choose updates that show the original evidence and distinguish independent confirmation from repeated reporting. Verelyn reads primary sources, checks what they say and routes changes in your topics to a connected assistant or daily email briefing.

Check evidence before trusting the summary

Ask where the claim originated. Open the original announcement, document or report and check that it supports the summary. Several articles repeating the same announcement are not independent confirmation. A single-source update should be identified as such, not presented as independently confirmed.

Source comparison is useful, but it is a different check

Ground News groups coverage of the same event and provides context about outlets' bias, factuality and ownership. That helps you compare coverage. For a particular claim, still check the underlying evidence: an outlet rating does not establish that every sentence in a summary is correct.

What Verelyn sends to your assistant

Verelyn is a news intelligence router. Tell it which companies, people and topics matter to you. It reads sources for covered topics, checks their claims and sends relevant changes with visible sources through an assistant you connect, or by email. Coverage and assistant connection have separate statuses, so check both before expecting updates.

Keep the limits visible

Ask your assistant to keep source evidence separate from its interpretation. Verelyn is not a substitute for a single factual lookup or urgent alerts. Its updates are not financial, legal or medical advice, and do not guarantee outcomes.
